‘Bad news’ for users of these Xiaomi phones

Xiaomi recently announced the list of Redmi series smartphones that will no longer get the latest MIUI upgrade. This list, which initially had seven phones, has been expanded to ten. Missing on the upcoming MIUI 11 upgrade or any Global Beta update going ahead means that users of these smartphones will not get the feature which removes advertisements from Xiaomi smartphones. However, Xiaomi will continue to provide Android security updates to these models (for now). Here's a recap of the list of 10 Redmi smartphones that will not get MIUI-based Android 9 Pie update
